Judy Moody & the Not Bummer Summer
Last Saturday, I took my daughter and a friend of hers to see an early screening of "Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer." My daughter has read many of the Judy Moody series by Megan McDonald. I always liked Judy because she's fiesty. Her hair is always a mess and she is always coming up with crazy schemes that never work out quite right.
The girls loved the movie. They laughed so much and were thoroughly grossed out at some parts. One of the gross gags went a little too far for me (you'll be able to guess when you see it!) but the girls thought it was hilarious. Even though I took two girls, there were several boys in the theater as well and they enjoyed the movie just as much. ! Some movies aimed at kids are painful to watch, but Judy Moody is clever enough to keep adults entertained when the whole family wants to take in a movie.
We were guest of the media company for the movie, but that in no way influences the opinions stated above.
